Hello Steve,

Try going into your option settings. There should be an option in there for setting things to grade 2, grade 1, or asckie.

Thanks,

Paul

Hi Joe,

I have both my file and website set to ascii and my VS still
reads the letters as contracted braille. Is it time for a hard reset?

Steve,

Be sure that you are in ASCII when within the web site as well
as in your textfile.

Subject: [GWN] copying letters from a website

Hi All,

What is the best practice when copying single letters from a
website? I'm trying to copy guitar chords which are single letters and then paste them into a txt file on my VS. It seems that regardless of being in grade 1 or ascii mode when i copy the chord letters from the website, after i paste them into my txt file, the VS reads them as grade 2 contractions. And my txt file is set for grade 1. Any guidance is greatly appreciated.
Steve
