Well, grin, since its been awhile since I've set mine up, I'm
writing on list, so other folks can feel free to correct any
wrong information that I might inadvertently give. But, I am
sending you a CC of this message as well.
First, I'm thinking you would need to go on the VS to utility,
then to setup internet and then to Bluetooth DUN to set up the
connection info for your cell phone. Thus, from the VS main
menu, you would hit U for utility, I for setup internet and then
arrow down to Bluetooth DUN and press enter.
Then, after getting into the Bluetooth DUN area, you can either
tab to register and press enter, or just pressing the letter R
will get you into the register new connection dialog, where you
can then fill in the appropriate information for your particular
cellular carrier. For example, you can put whatever meaningful
name you would like in the connect name, then down arrow to the
connect number and enter the appropriate number to call for your
cellular carrier which is*99#for A T and T in my case, you would
then arrow down to the ID field and put in the appropriate user
ID for your cellular carrier which [email protected] my
case, you would then arrow down to the password field and put in
the appropriate password for your cellular carrier which
isCINGULAR1in my case and you would finally arrow down to the
modem speed and I just spaced once and put it at the 115200 bytes
per second. You would then tab to the confirm button and press
enter and then press the letter Z to close the dialog altogether,
and then press space with Z to leave the setup internet dialog.
Next, you would want to make sure that Bluetooth is turned on for
your phone, and that your phone is set to allow other devices to
find it, and I guess this can vary a bit from phone to phone but
you want to make sure that Bluetooth is turned on and that the
phone's visibility is set to on. I'm thinking you might, though,
be able to get to the Bluetooth area by going to the start menu,
then to settings and press enter, then to connections and press
enter, and then to Bluetooth and press enter. Then, press enter
on Bluetooth devices. Then, press the right soft key to bring up
a menu. And, in this menu, you should find both the turn on or
off Bluetooth and the turn on or off visibility, and these would
be toggles where you would just press enter to change their on or
off state. At least this is one way, other than the easier com
manager that I don't know if your particular phone has, where I
can get to these Bluetooth settings on my phone.
Once these two things have been done with the Bluetooth settings
on the phone, you would then go to the VS to actually start the
pairing of the two devices. Of course, you would want to turn
Bluetooth on the VS on first by pressing backspace with dots 3 4
5 6. Then, once Bluetooth has been turned on, you would press
the letter L for the Bluetooth manager. The VS will then
automatically scan for Bluetooth devices. And, when it finishes,
you should hear the name of your phone in the list, and you can
just press enter on it. You will then hear the VS scanning for
services. Then, when it finishes, Bluetooth DUN should be one of
the services listed and you can just press enter on it. You will
then hear the VS say connecting service, and then connection
succeeded.
You can then do a space Z to get out of the Bluetooth manager and
hit the letter E for email. The VS will then say opening port,
and then your phone should ask if you want to connect to the VS,
and you would hit the left soft key to say okay. You would then
be asked for a pass code on the phone, so you would enter it and
press the left soft key to say okay. You would then be asked for
the same pin code on the VS, so you would enter it and press
enter to say okay as well and the two devices should be connected
and the VS should start dialing the phone number you put in the
Bluetooth DUN dialog, and you can then press the enter with N to
retrieve your email as you would normally do when getting it with
your other means of connecting such as WiFi. You will likely get
another screen or two on your phone asking about device name and
Bluetooth services, but you can just keep hitting okay with the
left soft key to get out of those screens.

I have used both my Nokia N 82 and my HTC S 630 to connect to my
Voice Sense via Bluetooth. I am able to use a connection for
both transferring files and acting as a modem so I can send and
receive email or browse the web.

Can the Voice Sense be used with a phone using bluetooth?
If so, what can you do?
What phones can be used with the Voice Sense?
If not, I wonder if it will be in the next upgrade?
Reason for asking: I would like to use my Voice Sense with my
Pantech Duo to get my email. I have used another product with
an
older phone with the older phone acting as a modem using a cable
between the two products, and wanted to know if this can be done
using my current products using bluetooth.
