Hi,
The WPA allows any character.
As for that ID thing, don't worry about it.
Cheers,
Joseph

Subject: [GWN] tkip question

This is for those using wpa and tkip on the bsp or other sense notetakers.

Can the security code consist of any characters or just hex as in the case of wep? Also, in the group id or whatever your router calls it, what's a good number to use? It indicates when the key should be changed. Does this mean you need to manually change it on the wireless device such as the bsp also? Or, is 0 okay? The router manual isn't too clear on this and I don't want to create a situation where I lock myself out
of the network. <smile

Any suggestions on setting up the tkip security with the sense
notetakers will be appreciated. It's time to tell wep goodbye.

Don
