Thanks, no I don't want a different charger, just something I can plug the 
charger into that would assist in recharging the battery. I'm told that 
portable generators can have peaks in their current flow and so it's not 
necessarily wise to connect some electronics to them, not sure if that's 
true or not.
Anyway thanks for the info.

Tessa. I don't know about a solar charger. However I have an inverter
which connects to the lighter port of my vehicle. The other end of this
inverter looks like a normal AC wall plate. So with this, I can connect
the Braille Sense or Voice Sense or phone AC charger to it and it works
just as if I had it connected to my wall at home. These can usually be
found at Wal-Mart or Radio Shack for under $20. I would not recommend
using something different than the charger which already comes with your
notetaker.
