My name is Michelle Stevens here, I have subscribed to this list so I can learn more about the BrailleSense32Plus. I am applying for funding to buy a note taker. I have the option to buy an Apex, or I have heard great things about the BrailleSense. I hope to have a look at one in this next few weeks. I will use the device to help me with communication with sighted hearing people, I am wondering if there are Deafblind folks who use this product? Someone told me there is a small screen somwehre on the machine. The sorts of things I will use the machine for includes: - - Reading electronic books for my university courses, - Taking notes if someone gives me a phone number - Communicating with people in shops, taxis etc, - - Showing my work to my professors, - Reading presentations at meetings, I have reservations about other specialist computers that have been released for the use of the deafblind community. With respect to other vendor's technology for Deafblind people, I am not conmfortable having to carry two pieces of technology round instead of one.
