Hi, It all depends on the pressure on the keys. The more pressure there is, more noise there is. Compared to last time, the newer guy's keyboard doesn't sound that loud - still louder than a BSP, from what we've seen. Cheers, Joseph

I've never seen an Apex so can not speak for it but I have seen a Braille Note. One of my independent contractors has a Braille Note which she uses in her college classes. I don't know much about Humanware products but the Braille Note is very noisy when using the keyboard. I was in a telephone conference last week where a participant has an Apex and it was equally as noisy. My Braille Sense original has a very quiet braille display and the keyboard only makes a slight sound when writing. I'm pointing this out because, for reasons I can not explain, many sighted people can not stand the sound of a keyboard. They use them a lot, go figure!
