Hi, You have an account name, and unless you have more than a single account, your mail should be sent from the account you have selected.
I don't what would happen if the "send from default account is not checked. Checking it assures that your mail will be sent from the account you've selected. To me this should be obvious without a need to check that box. We didn't have that box in the previous firmware. I hope others can clarify this a bit more.
