Thanks Mike: Hadn't seriously given that much thought, figured it was a user issue LOL. I unfortunately don't have another notetaker to try this on, though admittedly when I use the finger on my pc I don't end up with missing characters, so perhaps you are correct in that it's a problem with the bsp. That would be unfortunate as I don't live in the states and hate having to deal with customs and all that fun stuff. Oh well, I'll have to either tollerate it or deal with the evils of customs.
