This doesn't happen all the time, but it does on occasion when I'm say trying
to save an email I'm composing, or perhaps trying to open a file in the media
player. And, this behavior normally occurs on my first attempt at such an
activity after opening the program. I mean, when I tell the VS that I either
want to save an email or open a file in the media player for examples, the
prompt for the file name doesn't speak. Now, I can do a space with dots 1 and
4 to read the offered name, but it very often doesn't speak the file name
automatically on the first attempt at such saving or opening of files. I
started writing this email after opening the email program, hit space with E to
stop and save the file and hit Y to say yes that I wanted to save the email.
Then, although the offered file name was there, it wasn't spoken and so I had
to use the space with dots 1 and 4 to confirm what it was offering. The space
with Z does the same ding on occasion; but, again, this doesn't happen every
time, but just sometimes when I first open a program.
