Hi, The Android is Google's attempt at a "social" smartphone concept (mostly operating system based on Linux), which was extremely successful. The main marketing point is "social connectivity" and openness in terms of programmability. As for the second question, there is a network engineer who knows more than I do about recent trends in mobile technology. In simple terms, I (and others) mention this for two important reasons: it is better to have citizens who are informed, and notetakers, in true form, are customized mobile devices - same core functionality as smartphones and PDA's yet using customized interface and a popular communication method for the blind for its interface (braille characters). I could go on and on about describing how a generic braille character object can be created, but I'll leave it up to "experts" i.e. Don, Mike, Joe Orozco to explain this to you in a more "Braille Sense" type language (because I can describe it only using the availible device that i have, which I am seeking more hacking routines).
