Hi all,
As some of you know, Joseph and I are starting to work on a project,
currently for Windows on a regular PC, that will let you track checks,
bank accounts, and so on. While it currently will run only on a pc
(when it is ready anyway), the plan is to eventually port it over to
the BrailleNote family, and the Braille Sense family. Doing so,
however, requires the use of an sdk (software development kit) for the
notetaker(s) in question. As of right now, neither Humanware nor GWM
has released such a program, so the best we can do is offer an option
to export things to CSV files. This will let users import records from
the desktop program into custom-made databases in their notetaker's
database manager. We already are in contact with the maker of a
similar program for the old Braille 'N Speak family, and this
programmer has graciously offered documentation and even source code
to aid us in this project.
The interface will be similar to that of Keysoft, but I think it will
be quite easy for users of SenseNotes to pick up as it will not
precisely emulate Keysoft, just be similar in that it is easy to use
without using the screen and will not look much like a conventional
Windows program. For example, you might use arrow keys to move back
and forth through the fields you are filling out, use special keys to
move through a "dropdown" list of options, and so on.

Anyway, we will let you know as we get more going. School will start
for both of us soon, but we will do our best.
