this is odd. the gps has a slot on the side but the plastic packaging says
holux, and I did get a wedge shaped item I assume is the bluetooth adapter,
it has a cable attached to it. Very odd I must say.
Neither manual on the SD card says anything about batteries for the gps. How
does one find out the status of the gps battery?
Thanks
Tessa

hello, if the GPS receiver has the usb plug at the bottom, it's the
Holux M-1000. However for the last year or so, we have been selling the
iBlue GPS receiver which has the usb port on the side opposite the
switch to turn it on and off. Physically this receiver is slightly
bigger than the Hollux M-1000, but works a little better. If you have
the Voice Sense, Braille Sense Plus, or anything except the older
original Braille Sense, no Bluetooth adapter is needed because all Sense
notetakers except the first Braille Sense have Bluetooth capabilities.

Hope this helps.
