And, just to confirm, as is likely obvious, anyway, these are just my own observations and others may find things to be a bit different.
First, I did upgrade both my BSOH and my VS, and the upgrade went well for both units. Next, in just trying to compare, I did find the keys on the OnHand to be quite a bit quieter than on the Voice Sense. In fact, when typing some test documents, I found the BSOH to be the quietest, then the Apex was next, with the VS being the louder of the three. Although, to be fair, my VS is still not all that noisy when typing; and, too, although it is kind of hard to believe, but, I've had this device for almost three years now. Next, and again this just may be me, but I don't find the key lock and mode switches as easy to use on the OnHand. Of course, they do work correctly, but it just seems harder to slide those switches. I don't know if it is the placement of them, or if the buttons used are just a tad smaller on the BSOH. Finally, for now, and I'm only mentioning it here as I was kind of curious before I got my unit, but looks like the OnHand only has one speaker. Oh, it still sounds just fine, though, as the volume can be turned up to get almost as loud as that on the Voice Sense. And, too, unlike with the VS, one doesn't hear nearly as much distortion when the BSOH volume is up that high. If you wish to unsubscribe from this list, visit: http://www.gwmicro.com/listserv
