You seem to have all cases covered now.
Thanks. I'll definitely keep this one installed.

Hi,

I've been bulletproofing away like mad this morning and posted an
update which I hope solves the "Variable undefined" problem. If as and
when, I'd really appreciate it if you could give it a shot and let me
know if the problem's gone away for you too.

I was very keen to establish a reference to the Word DOM which would
last while the script remains in memory, rather than go and have it
recreated every time the hotkey is pressed. In this way, other
features may be added to the script more easily at a later date.
Unfortunately, the side effect was all this trouble. At least now if
it all goes bananas, any problems should be caught and can be emailed
to me.

Good luck!

Thanks,
Darren

Greetings,

I just posted a script called "Microsoft Word Count". Press a key and
hear the number of words in the document you have open in Word. If you
have several, Window-Eyes will tell you the total for the document
you're currently working on. If there is not a document open when you
press the hotkey, Window-Eyes will fail gracefully.

By default, the speak Word Count hotkey is Control-Windows-W. You can
configure this to your liking from the help and options button in
Script Manager.

To read more and download this script, visit:

If you do download it, let me know how you get on.

Enjoy!

Darren
