Well I wanted a layout that had no conflicts what so ever. I wanted most
everything on the numpad. I then wanted to be able to use the numpad normaly
as well. Ok I did not want a lot! DID I?

Also I hate the whole jaws cursor pc cursor thing you find in jaws that
allows this functionality. So I got clever.

I put all the command for reading relative to the cursor on the insert key
and a num-pad command. Tried the alt key but that did not work so good.
When ever you pressed the alt while in a menu to read the summery it closed
the menu. Or if you wanted to read the status line once again it closed the
menu. So ensert worked so much better. Also was able to define all kinds
of commands that were undefined before. Now I needed a command to read
relative to the mouse pointer. Ok I took a page out of gw micros book here
and used the windows key like they did with the jaws keyboard layout.

Once again I have all kinds of command defined that gw micro did not. And
well I have room on the pad left over. So with some creative use of
prefixes I have a super num-pad layout with no conflicts it works good. And
I would be happy to send it to gw micro support if they want to take another
look at it. oh I also put the layout in the ini file and I change my layout
right there from the key board section.

Hi well no. I installed homer shared objects 3.3 and issued my own command
for the script and it works just fine. I am not going to install the homer
layout because I like my own custom super pad layout much better.

Subject: Strange no speech issue with Weather or Not script.

Hello Everyone,

This morning, I am experiencing a strange new issue with Weather or Not,
wherein the script seems to run but no speech is generated. Follow these
steps:

1. Press control-insert-w for the weather report.

2. Listen to the usual pops.

3. No speech is ever generated with the information requested. Silence is
heard.

4. Press alt-insert-w for the weather in a dialogue box.

5. This approach still works as expected.

The only changes I believe I have made since the last successful use of this
script is the installation of Homer Shared Object 3.3 and Homer Layout
0.994. Anyone else experiencing this issue?

Regards,

Darrell
