Steve, OK, I'm with that, but probably didn't explain myself fully. It's really the method of binding the key and its modifiers to an OnKey event handler in VB Script that I was after.
Best wishes. For example, control-shift-F5 is how you would write it. There is also a script on the GW Scripting central site, I believe it is called Copy Key, which will copy the correct spelling of any hotkey to the clipboard when that key is pressed. All the best Steve -----Original Message----- From: Tim Burgess [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday 5 September 2008 11:47 To: W-E Scripting list Subject: Starting out questions Hi, I've got a couple of basic questions that should get me started with W-E scripting: 1 - Key bindings using modifiers. I know how to do this in VB, but I think VB Script is slightly different. Is there a sample script anywhere that demonstrates how to set up a shortcut key like Ctrl+Shift+F5? 2 - I need to be able to read a lot of sub-windows on demand, so I'm looking for a method of reading a window by passing a control ID as a parameter. If anybody knows of any of the scripts that demonstrate this it'll get me off to a flying start. Best wishes.
