Darrell,

We'll keep this in mind when we re-design browse mode in the future. Right now, the information isn't available through scripting as far as the Window-Eyes object model. But you should be able to get the information from the browser's DOM, as that would be where Window-Eyes would get the information.

Hello Aaron and all at GW Micro,
I am writing to ask that, in an upcoming version of Window-Eyes, the ability to acquire information about text attributes, colors and fonts be made available in applications where browse mode is used. I am a Blackboard user. Use of this web based educational software is required as part of my participation in courses at Arizona State University. One of the assessment presentations for one of my courses involves the use of underlining to indicate the word or words in question when reviewing the correctness of a list of numbered sentences. Though I am aware of the element properties hotkey, insert-e, it is quite impractical in combination with the need to review each sentence one word at a time. It is thus unfortunate that, at this time, I must use JAWS in order to complete some of my homework. I understand that this requested functionality probably isn't going to make it into 7.0. I also understand that there's no assistive technology product that does everything exactly the way we would like. I get that. Window-Eyes has come a very, very long way since 6.1! I am quite sure it is only going to get even better over time! I am just requesting that this functionality be added to a revision available sometime in the near future. In the meantime, is there anyone out here who could figure a way to write such a script by interrogating the HTML code of a web page directly?
