Jamal, I found out something about script template 2.9. The .ini file has to be renamed as well as the other two files in order for the hotkey to work. Also, the text |Script Template| has to be in the hotkey line in the .ini file. I thought this line should be edited to show the new name of a script being created; but if this is changed to |My New Script| the hotkey seems not to work. I found my error--This is the text of the case for a particular hotkey and not the name of the script.
So The words between the vertical bars is the name of the case for the particular hotkey and not the script name. This is why I couldn't get the template to work. I feel like I really learned something today. I am sorry that I mis-reported that the hotkey would not work--I just didn't know enough to realize what was happening. Jeff Weiss
