The funny thing is this Jay. Using XP and Sp3, both installations seem to work
fine. In each case, and in every step, it all says that everything is
installed. However, as you know, my issue has always been it only reading the
title bar in the java pannel and no more. So while others, whether it be Vista
or XP users, are having install troubles, mine seemingly occurs after all is
set up. You saw the pasted report from last night? Does that give you any
insite as to why its not reading more then "java control pannel?"

Chip,
Thanks for the report. You can run this part of the install at any time by
going to the start menu/all programs/WE4Java group and selecting Install
wE4Java to a Java Environment. The reports I have received thus far indicate
that this program works correctly when started in this manner.

Subject: reporting problem in latest update to we4java under vista
Hi Jay,
when I tried to update my we4java on my vista pc, I received an error in the
middle of the process that it could not run a program (I think the name was
installwe4java.exe) because elivation was needed. I have uac turned on, and I
suspect this is the problem.
hth,
Chip
