well, you're lucky, WE has this built-in; just turn on key describer mode with insert-1. I'd be curious to know if you're remote also registers as keys pressed. Mine is from Dell for a Dell laptop; who makes yours? Chip

But it seems, there is no definitions for reading keystrokes from another unit. Why I am asking, is that I want to script functionality for my Remote control, and also would be great, to use my joystick, as a navigation tool. First I got hooked on to the keystrokes from the unit, the interpretation and actions, whouldn't be that complicated. Anyone knows, how to get hold of the information, as to which key - on another unit but the keyboard itself - can be retrieved? Working in VBS at the moment, but if there is other languages that has a greater access to input units, I am willing to consider taking my project into that language.
