no , there's no UAC since it's windows xp , not vista or 7 and I'm set up as 
administrator.

  You need to make sure that the Skype Extras manager is installed. This will

    does the script work with Skype 4.2?

    I still get the same error message when trying to run Skype with the script 
(I have the current version).
