Richard,

I don't think it makes sense to freeze a section in the middle. Say you have a 40 cell display and you want to freeze 20 cells in the middle. This would leave Window-eyes with 10 on the left and 10 on the right. It wouldn't make sense for Window-Eyes to break up its data this way. This is why we don't allow you to freeze a center section. Now you can easily freeze a section on the left and a section on the right but Window-Eyes itself needs a continuous section of the display and doesn't allow it to be broken into chucks for itself.

Regards,
Doug

Hello Listers
I#ve just read about the braille.freeze method to use a desired part of the braille display to display information regardless of whats happening elsewhere on the display. This Method takes two params: 0 and 1, to set where the frozen area shall be, right or left. The other parameter is a value representing the amound of characters to freeze. Now my problem: I whant to freeze an area in the middle of the display. With the params provided by the method, i just can define areas left or right. Who can help me out here? regards Richard
