Or, try Free Download Manager. It is another good choice for a
downloader. The baloon message is right there, when the download
starts, as well as when it is finished. And, the benefit of a download
manager, is that you easily can download multiple files simultaneously,
and your download happens quicker. Also, you will have an easy list to
scroll through, that gives you all your downloaded material. If you
ever need to redownload a file, you don't have to search the net for it
again. Simply open your download manager, scroll down to your desired
file, and choose to redownload it. As the name indicates, the FDM is
all for free, so you don't loose anything by giving it a try.

Actually you do not need such a script. If you have the latest
version of
the Internet Explorer settings loaded any of the tab switching
commands
should read the active window title containing the active tab.
So for example if you press control one. It will switch to and read
the
tab at position one, or if you press control two it will switch to
and read
the tab at position two.
etc. , of coarse control tab will cycle through all of the available
tabs
and read them.
Also, if you have the IE Max script installed. If you press alt+n ,
the
name of the page will be read. The name of the page is the active tab
unfortunately this only works in Internet Explorer.
As for your download status information. This can be accomplished
with a
set file to read the information while in the active window. Also if
you
are using Internet Explorer, a sound is heard. When downloads are
completed. If this is insufficient. You could always try the get
right
download manager. It will not only play a sound file to indicate when
a
download is complete. if you configure it to do, so it will display
a
balloon tool tip indicating which file is finished. And then
Window-Eyes
will automatically read this information so as you can see no
scripting
required.
Hope this helps

Subject: Script suggestion... Browser tabs
Hi,
How about a script that reads page titles as the user control plus
tabs
through the multiple tabs that may be open at any one time...
Whether I'm using IE or FF and I have more than two tabs open I find
myself wishing I were clever enough to write such a script. And of
course, if I were, I would also write a script that announces when a
download is complete.
Thanks for your consideration...
