Hi Steve,

Thanks, but as expected, the computer is dead in the water. It has been
an on going problem with EVAS and the desire to use Del products.
The problem of the keyboard was resolved by the computer fan turning on,
the hard drive spins, then goes immediately to a shut down. I waited over 2
weeks for this, in fact 3 weeks now...It arrived noon Saturday from FedEx
and died as soon as I plugged it into the docking station. It actually
worked Sunday afternoon as long as it was on battery. Once put back on
charge it died; probably a power issue, along with everything else not set
the way I use it.

Thanks, but it looks like I am going to have to wait until next month or
Black Friday on Thanksgiving and get a half price HP computer which I
purchased for my grand daughter last year and I hope they have a sale this
year.

        Sincerely
        Bruce

Bruce,

If you are using Window-Eyes 7.5, then open the control panel with
Control-Backslash, press Alt-E to go to the settings tree, move to
Keyboard, and then Layout. From there you can change it from laptop to
default which is what you want. Note that you can still use the mouse
with the laptop layout if you find that you need it later. Also, please
send general support questions to either our [email protected] address
or to the GW-Info list.

Regards,
Steve
