This doesn't happen to me, so I suspect William doesn't have everything set quite right in his power scheme. He should be sure the scheme he's modifying is the scheme which is active; you can easily switch away from the default scheme; so you'd make changes all day to the default scheme and they'd have no effect. Or maybe, instead of enabling a screen saver, he could set it to no screen saver, and turn back on the monitor power saving options (which should disable the monitor without running the screen saver; maybe it's the running of a screen saver which is setting power options according to it's own ideas on the matter). I can not test this since my computer got sent back today for a second time and probably will be out for the rest of the month. So, is there a way around the sleep mode of a computer to have apps run? William is running my Cuckoo Clock program and he apparently locks his computer up while away from it so no one messes with it. I will explain it in his words. In power management I have everything set to never. I think this is unfortunate as I can listen to audio and have the screen saver activate with no problem. When I hit a key and log back in, the computer announces the time. Do you know of any way to fix this?
