Hi:
I haven't done anything, but this is something I would look in to doing as a
collaborative effort.
As I see things there are currently several issues, with sql server management
studio and/or visual studio 2010:
Firstly in sql server management studio 2008 r2 (2010) there are several tables
that do not read correctly at all. These can be overcome with scripting/msaa on
most cases from what I can tell.
In visual studio 2010, we need to allow access to the designers (particularly
with the wpf designer.) from the limited research I've done, we will need to
use ui automation (as I understand we doesn't provide this from the scripting
interface currently!) we will also need to use the visual studio object
model-this would mean that the solution would require the pro version and above.
Hope all this helps.
Regards
Sean.

Subject: Anyone Tried Scripting Visual Studio 2010 or vb.net, c#, Express?

Hi: now that we 7.5.2 is working a little better with vb.net 2010 I am thinking
of looking at how well it might be suited to scripting without the use of
standard plug-ins.
It is a huge undertaking so I am interested in anyone who has tried this or
anyone who is using some version of the 2010 VS Applications or even the Sql
Server Management Studio (2010 or 2012).
My first impression is that there may be the potential for scripting but I dont
want to spend half my life trying to ReInvent the wheel if someone has already
done something with it.
If not, has anyone worked developing plug-ins since they might be the best
method of making Visual Studio and other MS software IDEs accessible?
