Hi Kevin: I had a program for WE Scriptors and Chip was going to do some
alpha testing on it but I think he got tied up or the bloody thing was too
complicated. I should have simplified it but wanted some bells and whistles
that made it way more complex than necessary.
Anyway, I have moved on from that project.
I cant send it out as it uses my personal Bing ID.
I have a feature in it to translate strings, I used it for translating the
Documentation, so might be able to translate your strings for you.
Send me the strings you want translated and I'll translate them for you.
To make a simple translator would be easy enough, sort of like Jamals old
package, but it would still require a personal ID unless I use the
commercial ID they sent me for the project which wouldnt be what it was
intended for.
So, send me your strings and I'll translate them and e-mail them back to
you.
You can do it off list if you want:

Hi Rick:
I just had a brief look at th4e articles that you suggested. I could
be wrong but these translation methods might be a little more in depth
than I really need.
Here is my situation.
I wrote my Proofreading Script to work in both English and Polish,
however, over the last few months, I have added a dialog and a menu,
both of which I didn't get around to translating into Polish. I have
recently added both of these items to the Polish section of the .xml
file, but several of the strings remain untranslated.
I just need a way to translate some character strings from English to
Polish.

Hi Kevin: There are allot of articles on it.
The exact method you will pick may be a httpRequest/Response method or
SOAP
method or even a combination.
I used both methods from a DeskTop Vb.net application.
I googled:
how to bing language translator api
And got allot of hits:
Here are a couple of starting pages:
http://www.microsofttranslator.com/tools/
You will need to get a Bing Project ID which is free if you decide to go
this route.
Here is a page that talks more about the Bing APIs available and tells
you
how to get a free ID for your project.
