Hi David, What you're missing (and Martin pointed you to) is a big runtime library for programs written in the latest visual studio. They could all include it in their distributions, but it would add many megabytes to each download, so they usually count on you getting it yourself at some previous time. I don't know why MS isn't pushing this out as an important update, but instead they call it an "optional" update, which means you must review your optional updates and click to download and install it. hth, Chip

But when I try to translate some text, I get an error, telling me it cannot be performed. It says the app needs .net frame v4.0.30319 installed. My computer - when running the Windows update, and also running Ninite updater for .net - says that it is all up-to-date. Why would this happen, if the computer is updated, You would expect that the .net that Polyglot requires should either be present, or that a newer version is installed. Anyway, suggestions for where I can get the needed stuff? Running XP Pro, SP3 all updates.
