Recently, I had to re-install WE on both my systems. The following took place in both cases, and I therefore think it might be a bug in the AppGet, of some kind.
After installing the WE7.5, I ran AppGet. It told me there was no updates available. I did make sure, to have it display updates, and it just gave me a blank list, and no updates available. I thought that to be really strange, since I definitely know, there has been a few updates to the GWToolkit, and other apps I am running. Still, AppGet told me nothing was to be found. So, I installed and ran the InstallPackages app. And what do you think? No less than nine different apps had updates available; among them, were the AppGet and GWToolkit. OK,strange that AppGet did not find the updates, since InstallPackages found them right away. Even more strange, that AppGet did not find updates to itself. :) I do realize, that the thing could have been addressed in the most recent version of AppGet, but thought I would mention it anyway. Not really sure, what it would be, that the InstallPackage sees, which is not being seen from the AppGet. I, in general, tend to use InstallPackage anyway for my general updateing, so can't tell if this is a persistent problem. Any ideas?
