Hi Kevin,

I could not get WE4Java to install properly under Win7; it gave me an error
that the install failed; however, I'm sure WE is now supposed to do the same
thing it does.

But, the news is still good!

When I tried the Lunar app immediately after installing the java run-time,
and then the WE Java Access Bridge, it didn't work. Since then however I
have rebooted, and it's working for me now! Wanda, you should be happy,
because what little I can tell, WE is now reading the controls of the java
app. I don't know anything about guitars or these types of files, but I now
expect it to be working.

Wanda, please see Kevin's instructions again on running the java access
bridge installer from the WE start menu, and then reboot.

I don't know why, but I did not have a java run-time installed at all (so
trying to add the java access bridge did nothing at first), so I had to go
to java.com and track down and install the run-time for java; Wanda, you may
need to do that as well. You could tell if you need to do that if you press
enter on the lunar.jar file, and windows prompts you for the application to
run it with, or, some incorrect application starts running such as WinRAR.
In either case, you'll need to install the java runtime, and then install
the WE java access bridge, and then reboot! (and it's just that easy!)

Hth,

Chip

    Hello Everyone,

Have you considered an app called WE For Java? It was written a long
time ago, so that Window-Eyes can work with Java applications. As far
as guitar playing goes, there is a website called www.guitarbyear.com,
where one can find sample lessons for popular songs, as well as
courses one can purchase for rhythm and lead guitar. I have used this
and find it very adequate. I'm not sure that this is what Wanda is
looking for though.
Cheers,
Kevin
