Hi Chip,
Good for you for slugging it out and offering such a wonderful app. I
encourage everyone to give it serious attention.
Much thanks,
Rod

Hi all,
If anyone would like to try the latest beta of the Remind Me Where
app, it can be downloaded from:

This is beta 0.3.0; it has the entire user interface significantly
redesigned to be simpler and easier to use (thanks to very helpful
feedback from beta testers).
The options for getting directions has been improved, with more
choices (hopefully also being simpler to use). Documentation has been
enhanced.
Here's the description:
Provides access to Google+ Places and directions (walking, driving, or
using the transit system!), allowing you to make use of your current
location or to specify locations from your database of points, or a
street address, or a GPS receiver, or an IP address.
This app lets you search for any type of place near you (searching can
be based on quite flexible criteria), or just to see all the places
which are near-by.
The directions can be driving, walking, or public transit, and the
from and to locations can be specified by address, pulled from your
own points database, or pulled from the searching of Google places.
Anyone lucky enough to live in a city with Google transit information
should really get a lot out of the directions especially.
I keep planning to add more for those with a tablet/laptop and a GPS,
but right now, the app has changed towards being mainly used as a way
to explore a city and to plan your routes.
I would appreciate suggestions.
(please don't forget to go into the options and enter your default
location after installation).
Thanks.
