since you are not using the official ubuntu packages (using the ppa) I
have closed the ubuntu bug and opened an upstream issue.

Last PPA upgrade (version 2.31.6) made Gwibber not starting. This bug has
been reproduced on 2 computers.
Stacktrace when starting Gwibber is attached.
