If I'm away from the computer for longer than that, I miss notices, and Gwibber offers no way to read them. A simple solution would be to make the message history (scrollback) much longer, and time-based. So messages from the last 12 hours (say) would always be shown. This time limit should be configurable, at least in gconf.
