Yes, very annoying bug. Same problem on 11.04. Same problem for all backends: Twitter, Facebook, Buzz, Identica, etc.
Maybe add a separate list view, or something, where sent but not yet posted messages can be buffered? Reproduce steps: 1) Type the message into the field 2) Click "Send" button 3) Field is ERASED 4) Message appears NOWHERE That is very bad situation because text field is emptied and you cannot send it again. What I except to have: 1) Message stays in text field until we confirm that Twitter received that (pull from Twitter until we have it in my tweets?) 2) Some sort of error message appear explaining why the sent was broken 3) Clicking "Send" button sends message again P.S. Last time I have this bug I found that message was published on Twitter but not appeared in my messages list. All previous times message was just lost.
