Gwibber uses a lot of resources when typing a message

Bug description:
When trying to type a message, my system slows down, and the typing in
the message box lags. Attached is a screenshot of top showing how much
CPU is used while trying to write a message.
I am using gwibber 3.2.0.1-0ubuntu1 in Ubuntu 11.10. I have a dual
core 1.2 ghz CPU. I'm also using XOrg 1:7.6+7ubuntu7 since that also
seems to be using a lot of resources.
