Slow tab change animation

Bug description:
I'm using the version 3.2.0.1 from the Ubuntu repositories on Oneiric.
I find the animation that switches from one tab to another (for
example between my main timeline to the messages that mention me) is
really slow, I can count about three images (I don't think I should be
able to see them). Is this a known bug, or is it just me ? I tried to
find something about this in the bug reports but couldn't find
anything about it.
I don't think my computer is to blame, I've got a rather standard
configuration, and everything else is running pretty smoothly.
Do you want/need more details about my computer's hardware ?
