On Ubuntu 12.04 using gwibber 3.4.1 similar issue. I get to the nickname
and password page. After I provide these and click the "Allow" button,
it does not connect to the service. I created my identi.ca account by
using my launch pad openid.

Bug description:
  Can't add identi.ca account int Gwibber. After selecting Identi.ca
  from services list the Authorize button doesn't connects to identi.ca
  and doesn't opens any authorization window. However it works fine for
  twitter.
