addListener(null) should solve your garbage doubts....generally on destroy
every listeneris removed from components of extjs....i haven't looked yet at
sources of
UpdateManager but i believe it's the same of the rest....
i believe also that could be very useful as functionality but i never used
it...
mainly 'cause i didn't know the existance of it ;)...maybe in the future
i'll use it...
eventually i'll let you know....
all the answers you want with a bit of patience are in the sources :)
