You can override the z-index via CSS. See:
http://code.google.com/p/gwt-log/source/browse/trunk/Log/src/com/allen_sauer/gwt/log/public/gwt-log.css
In particular,
.log-panel { /* .... */ z-index: 1000;
}
You can override this with your own CSS. If you must, you can use
'!important' to workaround CSS ordering.
