Hi, I saw there is a recent snapshot, but I have not tried it yet. Maybe the
problems I am going talk about will be tinkered. With respect to the 14-07-2011
snapshot I installed, there are some minor problems with data preview and
stability. 1) Stability...gwyddion crashes randomly. This can occur directly
after starting the program or somwhere in between. It is not reproducible. It
really happens by hazard. 2) data preview is not correct. i.e. I saved AFM
scans as jpeg with a certain dimension (1µm x 1µm) and 1024x1024 pxl. When
saving them again, there are some previews of data files on the right side of
the data browser moving the highlighted bar on them. These previews show wrong
x-y dimensions. To clearify this, the original data has an aspect x-y ratio of
1 but 1024 x 512 pxl. When scaling the data to a 1024x1024 pxl image with still
1 x 1 µm square x-y dimension, and saving this, the image is a square but the
preview shows a x-y aspect ratio correlated with the original 1014x512 pxl
image. So the image preview says: 1024x1024 pxl image with 1µm x 0.5 µm. I hope
this is not too confusing. I will have a look on the new snapshot, but maybe
this issue was overlooked. Best, Mathias
