Allan,   I don't have the documentation in front of me and haven't used OPPI, yet...I've written several GXs using the GX Developer facilities...so I can't address your question about VAs directly.  However, I've written similar code that uses ReadChannelDB_VV to read a channel for a line into a VV and then used rGetReal_VV to extract each item from the channel.  Then, the code builds up data structures for the "other" application using these items.   If you don't have any other responses by tomorrow (US time), I'll post some code via this list.   Regards, David L.
