Hi, Jerry,

You probably need run FFT2PREP gx to precondition (grid trend removed,
extended and filled), before run FFT2IN.

Subject: [gxnet]: Padding grids for fft processing

Dear GXNET folks:

Help!

I am trying to run FFT2IN on a grid that was preconditioned outside of
GeoSoft. Running the GX with my gird gives me the error

"Invalid Dimensions in Winograd FFT, Run GRIDXPND and GRIDFILL first"

I am guessing that GRIDFILL pads the data to one of the fft "magic numbers."
My outside grid goes to 0.0 at the edges but isn't padded to any magic fft
numbers. Assuming that I need to run GRIDFILL to get a properly sized grid,
how can I run GRIDFILL to fill the grid to magic numbers with zeros in the
expansion area? Or what do I need to do?

My outside grid has been detrended and then padded using a minimum curvature
scheme with a cosine taper taking it to zero at the edges, so it should be
safe for fft processing.

Thanks for the help.
