Dear Joe,

There is no incompatibility with VC6.0. I link
to it regularly with the Geosoft libraries.

Look at Tools/options/directories - library files
and see if DISK:\GXDev\c\lib is there

ensure the DLL is in the path.
Look at Tools/options/directories - executable files
and see if DISK:\geosoft\bin is there

Hope this helps

Subject: [gxnet]: Linking a C++ MFC dialog based program

I am attempting to link a dialog-based MFC program to the Geosoft library
GEOGX.LIB and keep getting errors similar to:

error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol "void _cdecl Destroy_GEO(void *)"
(?Destroy_GEO@@YAXPAX@Z)

even though I am pretty sure the linker is accessing the library.

The program is essentially the gridcopy example provided in the gxdev/c
directory. I am using MS Visual C++ 6.0 and did sucessfully compile and
link the MS-DOS WIN32 version of the program. I really do not care for
MD-DOS in this day and age and would vastly prefer to use Windows programs.
Is the GEOGX library simply incompatible with an MFC program or am I
perhaps overlooking something? Any suggestions or information would be
greatly appreciated even if only to say that I am out of luck...
