Folks, This being one of the last weeks of our 2008 cycling season and the Christmas Season too, I'd like to suggest that we plan a little outing after Sunday's ride for food and drink. Of course, the more the merrier and I really hope you can make it. I'll check with Milton's Restaurant to see if they will be open. This weeks' ride will include some folks from the Slow Spokes Cycling Team. We'll be going around the lake. Also, two additional rides will occur at the same time: a short one (e.g., 15-20 miles) with Zonda, and a longer one (e.g., 50-65 miles) with Martin. This is a great opportunity to meet some new folks and have some fun.
This time of year it is especially important to pay attention to the following: Hydration - please bring and DRINK plenty of fluids. Nutrition - have something to eat about 1 hour before riding - peanut-butter sandwich, oatmeal, etc.. Comfort - the temperature is going to vary significantly during each ride so wear layered clothing and dress to your comfort. Hope to see you Sunday... -Mike Dalton --- On Wed, 11/26/08, Mike Dalton <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: From: Mike Dalton <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Sunday Touring Ride From BJP at 9:00 am To: [email protected] Cc: "Matt Davis" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Wednesday, November 26, 2008, 9:45 AM Hi, I would like to wish you all a happy and safe Thanksgiving. This Sunday the Slow Spokes will be joining us and hosting 3 rides: a short one (e.g., 15-20 miles), an intermediate one (e.g., 30-40 miles), and a longer one (e.g., 50-65 miles).
