Gary,

Obviously, I did not make the ride this morning. We will have to make different
arrangements for me to pick up the bike and make payment for your services.
(Thanks so much for making this fix so easy and convenient. For me, anyway!
That chain probably has 4,000 miles on it!)

The most agreeable terms for me would be to pick it up at our ride this
Saturday, since getting it before than does provide some challenges.

But, this is certainly the most self-serving option. It would be perfectly
understandable if this is not the best option for you since you would be left
storing my bike and then transporting it to the ride on Saturday.

The other option would be for me to come by your place of residence some
evening this week (it would be around 7pm, at the earliest) and pick up the
bike.

Let me know your thoughts.

I hope that you all had a great ride today. Yesterday's ride had 2 distinct
effort levels for me: for most of the ride we went quite easy, but, as we rode
along Old Weaver I dropped a glove, and dropped back to retrieve it. Brian was
kind enough to have already scooped it up and saved me some time.

But, by the time we got back up to speed you guys were quite a ways down the
road. It was clear that there was no waiting anymore! Brain and I began to work
our way back, and got within a few hundred yards of the group.

When you guys turned onto New Light your group had opened up the gap a bit
more, and Brian and I realized that it was going to be tough to latch back on.
(Probably because I had a very weak pull as we approached New Light, and the
lead group had some of our best climbers!)

Well, Brian and I gave it our best, and, although we did not meet our objective
of latching back on it was still a great workout!

Talk to you soon.

Rick
