First is the sleeveless jersey. After numerous changes and alterations with LG, I received the final version today. (Please see the attached). When viewing the pdf, please keep in mind that the triangular pattern that is shown is a lot lighter than it will actually appear. There is nothing LG can do about how our computer screens translate the color values. What I can tell you is that it will be the same value as our new version of our short sleeve jersey. Anyway, I think we have achieved what everyone has been asking for and I am very happy with the design. Since it is a sleeveless version, I wanted to go a with a more subtle look without putting the GYRO logo in every available space. Leaving a lot of white space was key, hence, making the jersey cooler on hot summer days. Now, in checking an earlier post, I have copied the list of people who said they were interested in getting a sleeveless version. That list is below. Before I go any further with this, it is time to start collecting money from everyone. Once I have done that, I will have LG ship samples so we can get you all fitted. What I am hoping will happen is that we will get 12 jerseys each, men and women, since that is the minimum we can order. Based on those numbers, the cost per jersey will be $60. Right now, we have 8 women and 11 men and that's if everyone who said that they would buy one are still interested. (Remember, it takes 8-12 weeks for delivery once I give LG the green light so the quicker we get this in the quicker we get our jerseys). You can send me money 3 ways: 1. Stop by the Trek Store and drop off a check 2. Stop by my house and drop off a check 3. Mail me a check. Bert, Steve and myself have been doing a lot of behind the scenes work on putting together all the details so we can decide if this is something we want to proceed with. There are a lot of obstacles to overcome but the main issue is finding sponsors that are willing to put up the fees necessary in helping us to achieve this goal. This is not the same as what I have asked for in the past from our current sponsors. This will be a much larger commitment. Any of our current sponsors, as well as all Gyros, are more than welcome to send me an email expressing your interest and, in turn, getting more details of what we are hoping to expect from you as a sponsor. The goal is to have at least four sponsors total. As of right now, we DO have (1) commitment. Only three to go. Btw, if you were also wondering, there will be a race team kit. This kit, although not in the design stage yet, will have all the design elements of our current jersey and logo with some minor twists, therefore, making the kit more distinguishable from the current jersey.
