Hi Fellow Gyros Some of you already know the news but I wanted our entire cycling group to know the news of Steve Dickson. It cuts me to the deepest part of my soul to tell you that Steve Dickson died on this past Monday morning from a fatal accident while doing some work at his mountain house in West Jefferson, NC. Steve has been one of my best friends for the past 20+ years and I have been spending time with his wife Jan and son Michael this week. The family has decided that they will not be having a memorial service (that would not be Steve, he would not want that) and instead of flowers being sent to the home they would like for anyone wanting to show their support to send a donation to his MS Bike Tour web page. Steve believed in the organization and has completed every MS 150 since the inaugural event in 1989, that is 21 MS 150's in a row. With the help of the Raleigh chapter MS 150 we have setup a web site which will send you to Steve's MS 150 donation page, that link is stevedickson.org. Steve has set a personal goal of $1,000.00, but I would like for us to exceed that goal. We have also included Steve on the Gyros team for this years MS 150. I will also be working with the MS 150 Raleigh chapter to also have a MS 150 training ride in Steve's honor. Please keep Steve's family in your prayers as we all go through this rough time.
