For your further information: Hal battled through a veritable deluge during his race. Conditions were so hazardous that 2 riders crashed out during the Cat 5 race, one during the first (familiarization) lap and one during the actual race. A "coup de chapeau" to Hal for braving the worst racing conditions I have seen in 23 years of racing.
