Gyro Nation,
(I want to thank Tony and Bert for providing me with the details of last night's ride. I arrived late and never caught the pack, so it was a long, lonely time trial for me...) The Tuesday ride is beginning to become what it was intended to be: a time for the Gyros to show that they have talent, also! The average speed is going up, and I envision us riding at 22+ by mid-summer. It will just take some guys putting it all on the line, and we have the riders to do that because we have young legs like Logan. Take that, Simple Green and All-Stars! It was a great turnout with Tony, Bert, Carlos (it is great to see you, Carlos!), Logan, Steve, Trek store Steve, Lou, Vernon, a great new addition to our rides, welcome!, and Art. The ride was fast, but it wasn't until Lou attacked on the Doc that things began to pick up. Chris and Trek store Steve answered his attack and I would imagine that the boys battled all the way up the Doc. Tony yelled out to the chase group something about "who is going to catch them?", which woke up the young lion, Logan. That's all it took, and Logan edged them out for the prime prize. The battle to the finish at Kicks was brisk again, but, once again it was Logan out-dueling Chris and Steve (the guys were a bit unclear on this finish, so please correct me...). It is going to take some doing to de-throne our KOP, Logan (KOP = King Of the Points). Is anyone up to the task? Our point leaders: Logan......................19 pts Rick (how can this be?)....5 pts Steve......................4 pts Chris......................3 pts Lou........................1 pt. Keil.......................1 pt. This will change if I get the results of last weeks ride. I know that Lou, Grey, and Keil rode, but that is all. I will not miss another Tuesday ride...if I do I will cycle naked around St. Francis' parking lot. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you foolishly subscribed to the Gyro email group.
