Guys, Sorry I broke off from the group on Horseshoe this morning. I just didn't have it in my legs today. It had nothing to do with the way the group or a particular person was riding. It was just a long week in the saddle with not enough recovery time. I knew I was in trouble early on going up Rock Springs Road and by the time we got to Horseshoe it was over. Even my leisurely ride home was all I could muster.
I have never abandoned a ride I was leading but I knew you were in good hands with Number 1 - Bert. As Clint Eastwood once said, "A man has got to know his limitations". I knew mine today.
